2nd annual Children’s Book Swap
June 21st, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
at Delta Plaza in Escanaba

A United Way “Day of Action” project and
participant in Michigan Association of United Ways’
“United We Read” initiative

What can be better than FREE BOOKS  to foster a love of reading and give your kids something new to read this summer? Our Children’s Book Swap gives you a chance to clean off your bookshelves and give someone else a chance to enjoy the books your kids have outgrown. Then you can get some new reading material for your family, too!

Everyone is welcome, and you don’t have to bring a book in order to take one. Our purpose is to get hands into the books of children (without anyone having to spend money!) and encourage summer reading.

To participate, simply bring books to Delta Plaza (in the Food Court) on June 21st between 10 and 2. Then browse through the tables of books brought in by other people and help yourself to whatever you’d like. We have not set limits on the number you can bring or the number you can take. Just please make sure the books you bring are in good condition.

We also will have information on the summer reading programs through Escanaba and Gladstone public libraries, and RSVP Reading Buddies will be on hand to help you find books you like and to read to the kids.
